Three Lord Justices of the UK’s Court of Appeal have ordered the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan to pay £65,000 to its founder MQM in legal expenses before July 30.
According to the order issued by the Court of Appeal, the Civil Division of the Court of Appeal, following the unanimous decision of the three judges to allow the appeal of the founding MQM and set aside the earlier decision in favor of the MQM Pakistan. Ordered to pay 65,000 pounds.
The court has also allowed founder MQM to release £77,760 to his lawyer’s account. They were asked to deposit this amount earlier when the single bench judge gave judgment against them.
In this regard, MQM spokesperson Mustafa Azizabadi said in a statement that founder MQM will soon withdraw from the legal proceedings against MQM Pakistan before the bankruptcy and companies judge Clive Jones during the first part of the trial. Will file a claim in court for costs in excess of £100,000.
On the other hand, MQM Pakistan leader Aminul Haque said that he will instruct his lawyer in London to comply with the court orders.
