KARACHI: One person was killed in the firing of motorcycle-riding suspects in the municipality of Northern Bypass, Khawstigoth. The victim was a PPP worker.
According to the details, a person was killed in firing in Baldia Northern Bypass Khawati Goth of Mochko area and his body was shifted to Civil Hospital. The deceased person was identified as 44-year-old Shaukat Zaman son of Safdar Zaman.
SHO Mochko Inspector Syed Mohammad Adnan said that the deceased Shaukat Zaman was shot dead by two motorcycle-riding accused near his house and escaped, this was told to him by a child who was an eyewitness.
He said that the deceased used to work in the lands while he also has a grocery shop outside the house, the deceased was shot from a distance of about 10 feet.
The SHO said that according to preliminary information, the victim was a PPP worker who had been attacked before, the police will investigate the incident further after taking statements from eyewitnesses and local residents.
