Tehran: Iran has congratulated Pakistan on the successful holding of general elections and the formation of a government that has started as a result.
According to the international news organization, these views were expressed by Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir in a telephone conversation with his Pakistani counterpart. The two leaders also discussed mutual relations and the situation in Gaza.
In a statement issued by the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it is said that Foreign Minister Hussain Amir, in a conversation with his Pakistani counterpart, also expressed the hope that the new parliament in Pakistan would start its work soon.
The statement said that while expressing good wishes for the new government of Pakistan, the Iranian Foreign Minister emphasized the need to implement the agreements and understandings agreed between the two countries.
On which Pakistani Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani thanked his Iranian counterpart for congratulating the successful election and government formation and also expressed his wish for further stability in the relations between the two countries.
Apart from this, the focus of the conversation between the two leaders was the situation in Gaza and demanded the international community to stop Israel’s aggression and find a permanent solution to the Palestine problem.
The two leaders also agreed that the voice will be raised at every international forum against the Israeli aggression in Gaza.
