LAHORE: Well-known actress and host Ifat Umar termed the victory of Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) candidate Aun Chaudhry in the general elections as a joke.
Aun Chaudhry of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) and Salman Akram Raja, an independent candidate supported by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf, contested the election from NA 128 of Lahore, in which Aun Chaudhry won by securing 172,576 votes.
Actress Ifat Umar took to social media to express her views on Salman Akram Raja’s defeat and Aun Chaudhry’s victory.
In his post on social networking website X, Ifat Umar said that Salman Akram Raja’s loss and Aun Chaudhry’s win is the biggest joke of Election 2024.
In her post, the actress said without naming any political party, stop doing useless acts and accept now that the public is out of your hands.
He further said that whatever it is, people want Salman Akram Raja, this is the fact, accept it.
In his next tweet, Ifat Umar said that the winners and losers of election 2024 need to accept the results gracefully.
The actress also said that now the new name of PTI (Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf) should be Independent.
