Beijing: 15 people died in a fire in a residential building in the Chinese city of Nanjing.
According to foreign media, the fire incident happened late at night. 44 people were injured in the fire. Officials said in preliminary investigation that the fire broke out on the first floor of the residential building where electric bikes were kept.
25 fire tenders took part in extinguishing the fire. The bodies and the injured were shifted to a nearby hospital. The condition of some of the injured is critical. Further investigations are underway.
