KARACHI: Well-known actor Haroon Shahid of the film and drama industry has revealed that before Mahira Khan, Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor was offered the lead role in the Pakistani film ‘Verna’.
Recently, Pakistani actor Haroon Shahid participated as a guest in the Ramadan transmission of Naji V channel where he made a shocking revelation about his and Mahira Khan’s film ‘Verna’.
Harun Shahid said that the lead role in the film ‘Verna’ was initially offered to famous Indian actress Kareena Kapoor Khan but she could not accept the offer as she was pregnant at the time.
The actor said that I was very happy when director Shoaib Mansoor told that Kareena Kapoor will play the lead role in the film.
He further said that after Kareena Kapoor’s refusal, director Shoaib Mansoor offered Mahira Khan the lead role in the film ‘Verna’.
It should be noted that the writer, director and producer of the movie ‘Verna’ under the banner of Showman Productions was Shoaib Mansoor, who had previously presented superhit movies like ‘Khoda Ke Ley’ and ‘Bol’ to the audience.
Mahira Khan and Haroon Shahid played the lead roles in the movie ‘Verna’ released in the year 2017, while the story of the movie was based on the social problems and violation of rights of Pakistani women.
It should be noted that according to the Indian media, in 2016, Kareena Kapoor rejected all such rumors and clearly said that she is not working in any Pakistani film.
