ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court expressed its displeasure over the non-appearance of the petitioner in the case related to the alleged rigging in the elections and directed to inform the petitioner through the concerned SHO.
When the hearing started on the petition against the alleged rigging in the elections, the court got upset when the petitioner did not appear. The Chief Justice remarked that it is a joke, put the news of application filed and then not appearing.
The court directed the Supreme Court Office to contact the petitioner Ali Khan by telephone and inform him about the case. The court directed that the Registrar Office of the Supreme Court should also contact the petitioner.
During the hearing, it was told by the court staff that the notice could not be complied with, the petitioner’s number is also closed.
The Chief Justice remarked that if these petitions are filed for fame, release the petition in the media and then disappear, but we will hear the case and present it to Ali Sahib in any way possible, I will say it tomorrow. He did not take it back, the case will not be heard.
Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar remarked that the application is still on the objections of the office.
The Chief Justice remarked that applications are filed all over the world, call them and talk to the concerned SHO, what is the case then it is not a joke.
The court staff said that to comply with the notice at home, the staff also went to the petitioner’s house but did not get a response, called the mobile phone which was switched off, also sent a message on WhatsApp from the Supreme Court but did not get any response.
The Supreme Court adjourned the hearing of the case.
